Our Next Adventure
Seven nights in the Greek Isles aboard Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas, sailing from Rome (Civitavecchia) on 9 May 2027. Santorini, ancient Ephesus, Mykonos and the Bay of Naples — with a whole community of home educating families on board. Our group booking is secured; cabins are limited.
Odyssey of the Seas · Greek Isles
A term-time sailing in the sweet spot of May — quieter ships, and the Greek islands before the summer crowds. We depart one year to the day after our Norway adventure. Fly out to Rome, and let one specialist handle the rest.
Your week in the Greek Isles
All aboard in Italy
Board in the afternoon, find your cabins, and wave Italy off from the top deck at sail-away. We gather for a relaxed welcome get-together before dinner — say hello, and let the kids find each other.
Find your sea legs
A full day to learn the ship: the kids' clubs and the SeaPlex, the pools, the North Star if you're feeling brave. We'll fix a morning meet-up spot for anyone who wants company — entirely optional, as ever.
The postcard island
Tender in beneath the caldera cliffs for Oia's blue domes and whitewashed clifftop villages — a volcano you can stand on. Geography has never looked like this.
Walk through the ancient world
Streets people walked two thousand years ago: the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, and Kusadasi's bazaar for the hagglers. History, without a textbook in sight.
Windmills & whitewash
Whitewashed lanes, the famous windmills and Little Venice — or simply a lazy beach afternoon. Group outing or family wander: your call, as always.
A day for the ship
The Solarium for the grown-ups; bumper cars and laser tag for the kids — fine, for everyone. By now they'll be arranging to meet their friends without you.
Bay of Naples
Pompeii's ruins — the original school trip — the island of Capri, or the Amalfi coast, before a farewell-eve dinner as we turn north.
Arrivederci
One last breakfast with your new favourite families, then disembark — onward travel handled for you, and the group chat still going strong.
Meet Odyssey of the Seas
Bright, modern and made for families: Odyssey is one of Royal Caribbean's Quantum Ultra Class ships, with enough on board to fill every sea day — long before you reach the Greek Isles.
The SeaPlex
The largest indoor sports and activity complex at sea: bumper cars, glow-in-the-dark laser tag and an arcade — whatever the weather.
Kids' & teens' clubs
Royal Caribbean's award-winning clubs run all day, so the children can dip in and out together while you actually finish a coffee.
The North Star
A glass observation capsule rising 300 feet above the sea, for views across the Greek islands.
Thrills on tap
RipCord by iFLY skydiving, the FlowRider surf simulator and a rock-climbing wall — all included.
Pools for every mood
A resort-style pool deck, an indoor pool, and the adults-only Solarium under glass.
Two70 & showtime
Floor-to-ceiling sea views by day; aerialists, music and full-scale productions by night — our favourite group evening out.
